Who Invented the iPod?
Whilst it can be said that the earliest form of iPod was invented all the way back in 1979 by a English man Kane Kramer in the form of a Digital Audio Player device that he called the “IXI” the iPod that we have come to known was created by Apple.
So then, who invented the iPod?
The iPod collection of new and funky MP3 music players came along in October 2001 and launched a line of MP3 players that would take the industry by storm. Through the iPod, Apple was able to change the whole idea of an MP3 player – before that they were though of as ugly, chunky boxes however the iPod was fresh, exciting and great to look at. It’s no surprise that Apple went on to have huge success with the product resulting in many variations of it down the road including the iPod Shuffle, the iPod Nano and eventually the iPod Touch.
Are you interested in who invented the iPod in more detail? Well, the actual invention of the iPod from within Apple came from a team that was led by Jon Rubinstein. He was given, along with Michael Dhuey and Tony Fadell approximately one year to design and create the “Apple iPod”.
The iPod in fact is so popular that it has given Apple a large monopoly over the digital music player market – through releasing such a well designed product they have managed to create a huge brand name that people will be willing to pay more for.
